An after hours modification project to expand a room to newly purchased church leads to collapse of second story floor onto workers below, trapping one for over an hour as Rescue and North Charleston Fire Fighters work to shore up hanging walls and floors to begin Rescue Operations.

is currently seeking applicants to fill several volunteer openings. Applicants must be 18 years old and live within the Charleston County lines. Some waivers are granted based on locations near the boarders. We are a charity 501(c) 3 organization contracted by Charleston County to provide support for auto and heavy extrications, missing or injured boaters, land search and rescue, high angle rescue, diving, drowning (recovery and transport), swift water rescue, first responder medical for EMS. We also offer support to local Fire and Police agencies when needed with resources and/or manpower. Any prior training is a plus, but most training is supplied thru our agency. We operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week all year long.
